Match Report:

Coldest night of the Summer and the fish were not up for a good feed. Match fished from 11am till 4pm on a dry day with a good ripple on the water.

The Carp were not playing so it was a silvers attack from the start. Bryan Hewitt caught lots of 1oz roach for his weight. Frank had a far better stamp of roach to 6ozs for his weight. Geoff had a silver catch for his weight. Tommy had a rake of perch all caught in the first 3.5hrs and fished pellet across for the final 90 mins managing to catch a few carp.

There will be an Open match on the Island Pond Sunday. Buggy not liable to be back from repair. There is a FED match on the Island on the first October. Threads up for both matches.

Slight amendment to your match report Tommy.

I had one 2lb carp and one 1lb perch in my 4lb bag.

I spent most of the day looking for bigger fish as I could not get any silvers going - Frank had them all !
