Match Report:

Seven anglers fished today's match on the Island Pond from 11am till 4pm. The weather was perfect for fishing with a temp of 20 degrees no wind or rain and overcast at times.

It was the end Pegs that fished the better and Barry Morgan also made Peg 19 into a good peg. Barry and Eamonn had a battle all day long on the pole and Dougie opted to use his feeder rod. All three caught well with Barry favoring the Bream Eamonn the carp and Dougie Carp with a bonus 3.5Lb Tench.

Eamonn caught all day long and put together a very worthy winning net weighing 19Lbs-9ozs. An end peg but you need to fish it to produce. Barry was a close second with a weight of 17Lbs-10ozs. Dougie weighed in 13Lbs-6ozs. A good day was had by all and big well done to the framers.

There will be a match Sunday if there is enough interest.

Tommy Lauriston.

Well done to all, but can't believe the difference in weather. Over towards South Queensferry we had a really stiff easterly (7 m/s I'd guess) and 15-16c. Heavily overcast, misty at times.

I am needing to stop looking at the weather forecast, the wind looked like a pole breaker so I decided not to fish :doh!:

Two Wednesdays in a row Dougie has made the frame with good weights. He has his moments.
