Match Report:

Fot the setting up and the first two hours of the match the man above was not very kind to his Wednesday anglers. He opened up the Heavens and the rain poured down. After that there was the odd shower and finally the sunshine to help dry us out. When the rains halted the winds started. Bad day at the office for the majority other than Barry Morgan who made the best of the favoured end peg 21 and fished on to an easy victory.

Barry had a great days fishing and was only 10Lbs away from beating all the other anglers combined weights. Darrin was the only other angler to have double figures catching 11Lbs-4ozs from Peg 13.

Not the best days fishing as most didn't catch in the first hour due to the overnight rain. It was an interesting match trying to work out how to catch, we cannot get it easy every week.

Well done to the framers and there is always next week for the remainder. The wise man was Geoff who stuck to his guns and fished Tuesday. Alas Ronnie said it was a very expensive day for Geoff. Wonder if he fishes he went home to dry out with the rest of us.

Reminder Over 50s this Sunday on the Island Pond. You can book on right up until 9am on Sunday.

Tommy Lauriston.

Expensive day indeed Tommy.

Box leg hadn't been secured properly and when I leaned back for a top kit I fell off the box breaking two top threes in the process.
Spent yesterday in the garage ( in the dry ) sleeving and taping kits !
Think I made the right choice though fishing Tuesday - even though I did not catch much.
Got the will - ain't got the skill

Thanks for clearing that up. It was being said that you broke a big section in two places Geoff.
