Match Report:
Sorry for the delay in the results as I wanted to post photographs and the site at present does not want to know.
Eight anglers fished the match on the Island Pond and it was single Pegged from peg 21 to 28 inclusive and fished from 11am till 4pm on a Sunny cold day with little wind but what wind there was had a chill factor and after midday it was cold.
The Bream are starting to feed in the shallower Pegs with the carp still preferring the deeper water. It was Stewart Ritchie that took the win and two Matchman points catching a lovely net of Bream weighing 10Lbs-8ozs. This was only Stewarts second ever match win and a big well done to him.
Second place went to Ian Sloss who suffered some Darrinitis in the first hour losing big fish. The fish photographed in Ian's net weighed 9Lbs-14ozs ( No photo the big fish didn't happen LOL) which gave Ian second place and 1 MAOTY Point.
Third place was a tight affair with Dougie Campbell beating Tommy Lauriston by 1 oz weighing 7Lbs-14oz to Tommy's 7Lbs-13ozs. This was a great effort by Dougie as Tommy had the advantage of the end peg.
Frank Smith caught but retired unwell with an hour to go.
Well done to all. Watch out for a midweek day for a sweep based on weather. Again next Sunday's Open again will be based on weather.
Well done all that took part.
Tommy Lauriston.
