| Warm Easter weather has helped the fishing to shake off Winter and all waters are now fishing well with 50lb+ catches being taken regularly. Spring can still have some cool days with a cold wind, so keep an eye on the weather and check with Ronnie in the shop for the best advice on where to go and how to fish. |

Birch PondOur newest pond is now open and is immediately giving great sport with plenty of Carp to 3lb, Ide & Orfe with many catches up to 50lb. Already pellets and corn have taken over as the best baits and all methods are working. Top PondThe recent re-stocking with thousands of new fish has led to some brilliant sport with some anglers catching hundreds (yes hundreds) of small Carp and Chub. They are learning fast though, so don't expect a bonanza every day, but the fishing is fast and furious with pellets leading the way as best bait. Railway PondThe Railway Pond has also been re-stocked and is fishing really well for Carp, Ide, Orfe and some cracking Tench. Daren Adams had a great day on Wednesday including a brace or 4lb+ Tench in a 50lb+ catch. As with the other ponds, pellets and corn are working well. Island PondFishing very well now with good carp to over 7lb showing up regularly and catches over 50lb are becoming more and more common. Ide are also going well with some approaching 2lb. Pellets and corn again are top baits for Carp but caster and worms are starting to work well for big catches of Ide. Main LochThe Main Loch has undergone major improvement work but is fully open now and is starting to fish well for pleasure anglers. Carp are starting to make up the bigger catches with big F1s to over 3lb and a variety of commons and mirrors up to 8lb, the biggest over 10lb. Previous Reports |
