Match Report:

The match was fished from 11 am till 4 PM on the first Birch Pond. The Pegging was 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 backing onto Main Loch Numbered from Island Pond End. The 7 - 9 -11 every other Peg along the back starting from Railway Pond End Missing out 6.

The weather was dry with no wind of note. It was warm to start with but as the day progressed it got colder. Most people caught all day long. The Pond is a silvers Pond which has carp in it. Roz got away to a good start with 4 Carp in the first Hour. She was at 6 Carp when it got cold and that was her day. She weighed 8Lbs-5ozs for 3rd Place.

Over on the Far BanK at Peg 9 Bill was having one of those days breaking his Keepnet bracket and dropping his wallet in the water. He dropped his wallet in the water which caused a Tusamani whereby I nearly drowned when the wave struck. Bill weighed 8Lbs-12ozs securing the second place by just 7ozs from Roz. That 7ozs cost Roz 15Lbs so to speak. LOL

Everyone caught most of the day and apart from Gary's successful return and win all the others were within 4Lbs-12ozs of each other. How good are we to let Barry win whilst on his holidays. We didn't really he romped us all with a great catch of Carp on the day.

There is a Match on the Island Pond on Saturday and a thread is already opened. Next Wednesday will be The Birches once more. Well done to the framers and Gary proved once you have it you never lose it.

Photographs pending.

Tommy Lauriston.
