Match Report:

Match fished 11 am till 4 pm on a cold day with gusting winds which made presentation real hard on the wide pegs. It had been very cold overnight so all knew the fishing would be hard.

Good competitive match with 1Lb-10ozs covering the top 3 anglers. That sai Tommy had a 4Lb Carp that put him up there with Eamonn and Frank who caught only silver and it was a great head to head between both of them for first place.

Eamonn fished across most of the day in windy conditions and while striking and missing ended up in the tree around 15 times. He didn't let that put him off and stuck to his task which resulted in his aim to win the match.

Frank had a total silvers catch also. As said before a lucky carp down the track got Tommy out of jail and into the frame.

Well done to all the framers and Eamonn for a well-fished victory and hard luck Frank.

Wednesdays Match will again be on the Birches 1 Pond.

Watch out for news on next Sunday's match as Maintenance is about to be undertaken on the Island and Top Ponds.

Tommy Lauriston.
