There was 8 anglers fished tonight on what turned out to be quite a pleasant rain and midge free cool evening. The match was pegged round the far end of the pond from pegs 9 to 16 for a change.

Eight anglers fished and what dedication to their sport did the first 4 on the night show. For those who don't know them they all left Magiscroft at 9am friday morning to travel to Wales for the Junior Celtic Cup which they won. Gary and Woody were there in the capacity of coaches and William and Kevin as members of the team. They travelled to Wales on the Friday, practised on the venue all day Saturday in a monsoon before fishing the match Sunday then travelling home arriving back to Magiscroft around 1-30 am this morning. They all attended work and arrived back at Magiscroft for the 5pm draw.
Dedication at it's utmost.

The draw was made and William and Kaiser got the much sought after end pegs. myself and Colin got the dreaded centre pegs. At least Colin caught some roach, myself I blanked. Will have to learn to put into practice what I preach. When the all in was shouted Dave was right over to the far bank and was landing a Carp prior to me feeding all my lines. Yip believe it or not during the first half hour of the match a non end peg was in the lead.

With one hour gone the end pegs were applying the pressure to the others with both William and Gary catching steady. Young Kevin and Woody were doing their thing with the silvers and Del Boy was attempting to do the same. Myself and Colin we just couldn't buy a bite. As the match entered the final hour the result was going to be between William and Gary in the battle of the end pegs. In that last hour the Ghostie's turned up in William's peg and with a few of them plus a large mirror Carp William nailed the match well and truely. He nearly regained his Monday night record but came up a couple of pounds short.

Woody weighed in with a big ghostie caught just prior to the all-out and landed 10 mins after it. Everyone enjoyed the night and we are all looking forward to the easy gig next week as the Monday night matches stay at the top of the hill on the Top pond. well done to William who managed to put an end to his run of second places.

Tight lines.
