Match Report:

Nine anglers turned out for today's match which was double pegged between peg 2 and 18. Though it was promised to be the start of the heatwave it turned out to be cold and rainy.

It was Barry Morgan first into the driving seat and he had enough weight to secure himself third place within the first hour. The fish were not balled up and Barry kept rotating his lines and catching all day long. Ian Whitson secured an easy second place with a weight of 16Lbs-8ozs and a good net of mixed species. Tommy was a poor third and he only confirmed that in the last hour when he worked out how to catch the silvers that wanted to feed.

It was a good day out with all catching. Well done to those in the frame. This Sundays match is on the Island Pond and next Wednesday's match is on the Top Pond.

Those who have still to confirm they are fishing the series please do so asap. The numbers are now locked at 24 Anglers and anyone else wishing to fish will be place on a reserve list.

Tommy Lauriston.
