Match Report:

Nine anglers turned out to fish todays match and it was double pegged from Peg 2 to Peg 18. The Weather was warm with gusting winds. The predicted rain never appeared.

At the draw we all waited to see if Barry Morgan would again draw Peg 8 on which he has produced 3 wins recently. Alas he drew Peg 10 which is another hot peg. Stuart McCowan a stranger to these matches drew Peg Number 2 which never produces good weights so nobody told him.

Ian Whitson drew Peg 8 and the other hot peg 16 went to Bill Bright. As we left to go to our pegs all anglers were reminded that the fish have the ability to move. Turned out they had.

It was Tommy Lauriston who caught the first fish of the day which was a relief to him as his last two matches over the weekend were poor. It wasn't long before Barry Morgan produced a 3Lb carp from his right margin and that was him off and running. Barry found it hard to catch across and spent quite a bit of time in the margins which produced a winning weight of 16Lbs-10ozs.

In second place was Stuart who produced a weight of 10Lbs-9ozs on his Wednesday debut which was an excellent result for Peg 2 at this time of year.

Tommy Managed to catch across when the winds were not gusting he weighed 9Lbs-4ozs for third place. It was a good match on the day with the top 3 spread round the pond. Well done to the framers and everyone else for their efforts. Tony Balls &Lbs-3ozs was also a good catch for the Peg.
